I, ALAN M. DUKES, Minister for Agriculture, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 3 of the European Communities Act, 1972 ( No. 27 of 1972 ), and for the purpose of giving effect to Commission Decision No. 80/1227/EEC of 12 December, 19801 hereby make the following regulations:

Subject to Article 7 of these Regulations, no antioxidant shall be manufactured, prepared, imported, distributed, or sold in the State unless such antioxidant complies with the specific purity criteria applicable to that antioxidant in the Council Directive.
